-Dubach Restoration and Beautification Organization, Inc.  (DRABO)

The Dubach Chicken Festival was begun in 1989 by DRABO.  The Festival honors growers and their families, the poultry industry, and sponsors of the Festival.  In 1995, the Louisiana Legislature proclaimed the festival to be the official Louisiana Chicken Festival.

Profits from the Louisiana Chicken Festival are invested in landscaping, building restoration, creation of a park at James Lake, helping the Lincoln Parish Museum restore the Autrey House  (the oldest standing "Dog Trot" house in Lincoln Parish), Easter Egg Hunts, and Christmas programs for all area citizens.  Many Christmas decorations have been purchased for the Town and installed by DRABO members.  The ultimate goal of DRABO is economic development, but members felt they had to improve the quality of life in Dubach before they could attract new businesses.  DRABO feels their program is very successful and are continuing to work toward revitalizing the downtown area.

One graduating senior at Dubach HIgh School will receive a $500 scholarship from DRABO in May every year.
